Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve tried to include as much key info as possible on our site, but if you have any more questions, please check out the FAQ listed. If you’re still unsure or have more specific questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly!

  • We’re already so grateful you’re making the trip, your presence is more than enough. If you’d still like to give something, you can contribute to our honeymoon fund on Zola or bring a card to the wedding.

  • Sitges is a beautiful coastal town about 35 kilometers southwest of Barcelona, on the Mediterranean. It's well-connected — Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) is about a 25-minute drive, making it an easy destination even if you've never been. The town itself is walkable, charming, and very much worth arriving a day or two early if you can swing it. Villa Almanita is a 5-10 minute drive from the center of Sitges, set among vineyards in the hills just outside town.

  • How do I get from the airport to Sitges? The easiest option is a taxi or uber— about 25–30 minutes and €50–65 from the airport. The Bus Garraf is also an option, running directly from Terminal 1 in about 40 minutes – please note service is limited on Sundays. There's no direct train — it requires a transfer and takes close to an hour, so we don’t recommend it.

  • How do I get to the venue? Villa Almanita is a 5-10 minute drive from the center of Sitges. If you're coming directly from Barcelona or the airport, it's about 25–30 minutes by car. The easiest options are renting a car, booking a private transfer, or staying in Sitges and using the shuttle. Full details on the Travel & Stay page.

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same place? Yes! Arrive at Villa Almanita for the ceremony and stay put all night.

How do the shuttles work? We're running shuttles from the Hotel Calipolis in Sitges to the villa for both arrival and departure on May 12th. Pickup and drop off times are listed on the Shuttles page. Please plan to arrive at the pickup point a few minutes early. Make sure to reserve your seats ahead of time on the shuttles page.

Can I get a ride back to a different hotel? Shuttles run from the Hotel Calipolis, which is centrally located within walking distance of most hotels in Sitges.

Can I use Uber or a taxi? Uber does not pick up in Sitges — it can drop you off there from Barcelona or the airport, but won't be an option for getting home at the end of the night. For local rides, we recommend Taxi Sitges (+34 93 894 13 29). You can book directly with them or via the Taximés app, which covers Sitges.

Is parking available at the venue? Yes, parking is available on-site. That said, if you plan to enjoy the open bar, we strongly encourage using one of the shuttle routes — details are on the Shuttles page.

  • Where should I stay? We don't have a formal hotel block, but we've put together our recommended places to stay in Sitges and the surrounding area on the Travel & Stay page. We suggest booking sooner rather than later, especially if you're coming for the full weekend.

  • Formal, Black tie optional. We'd love to see you dressed up — tuxedos and formal gowns are welcome and encouraged. A suit or elegant cocktail dress is perfectly appropriate too.

  • Are kids welcome? Absolutely — we'd love to have them there. We'll have a dedicated kids dinner table with seats reserved for all children ages 3–10, and high chairs available for little ones under 3. We'll also have a Dutch and English-speaking nanny on site for parents who want their baby to take a supervised nap while you enjoy dinner or keep the party going.

For any other questions about kids’ dining, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
